Yuchen Zhou is Conscience’s Computational Drug Discovery Lead. He is motivated to advance and democratize computational methodologies to accelerate the drug discovery process.Yuchen earned his PhD in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Stony Brook University, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, specializing in developing and applying computational methods to identify and optimize small-molecule drug candidates. Prior to joining Conscience, he served as Computational Chemist at Paraza Pharma and Oddity Labs, where he leveraged computational design tools to deliver novel compounds for diverse protein targets ranging from complex diseases to consumer wellness needs.
Originally from China, Yuchen spent a decade in the New York City area before settling in Montreal five years ago. Outside of the lab, he is an avid classical concert-goer and vinyl record collector.
