- Make decisions based on hope, not fear. Lauriane shares how this mindset has led her to seize opportunities that align with her values.
- Enjoy the process and learn from every experience. She shares that even the most challenging experiences have presented valuable learning opportunities for her.
In Lauriane’s own words, in both the academic and working worlds, the criteria for success are always external. “Other people decide that this is the way it’s going to be. But it’s also important to think about what I want. What’s important to me? What’s essential? We only have one life, and it’s precious. What do I want to do with it? […] It’s so important to connect with what our little inner voice is asking for and dreaming of. In the world of work, there’s such a wide variety of things you can do. You need a kind of inner compass to orient yourself.”
